El equipo Nefrona ha enviado un abstract al próximo congreso del American Society of Nephrology.

«Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The NEFRONA study enrolled 2445 patients in different stages of CKD without previous history of cardiovascular disease and 559 subjects with normal renal function between November 2009 and October 2011. The main aim of the study was to assess the value of ultrasound detection of subclinical atheromatosis in the prediction of cardiovascular risk. »
